Fresh off a MTV Video Music Awards performance on Sept. 27, Brit-pop newcomer Sienna Spiro made her Austin City Limits Music Festival debut on the Miller Lite Stage on Friday with an emotional set. Dressed in wide sunglasses and a black and white polka dot dress, the 21-year-old singer tore the house down, fans bleeding from her stage into the neighboring T-Mobile Stage, making for a memorable Austin intro.
Opening with “This is My House,” Spiro’s raspy voice echoed through the dust-filled stage, as fans sang along with the London-based songwriter. With unmatched vocals, Spiro’s notes lasted several seconds and impressive vocal runs gained claps and cheers during her performance.
While her live performance sounded exactly like her studio recordings, filled with sheer talent, the singer did not move around the stage much. However, Spiro’s lack of movement had no effect on her strong impression, every song compelling audience members to sing their heart out.
Spiro dove into “Material Lover,” a song she wrote for the film “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” released in May 2026. Moving away from her slower repertoire, the track got festivalgoers dancing and waving their hands in the air, feeling the vibe of the upbeat track.
“Thank you guys so much for showing up, I know it’s so fucking hot,” Spiro said.
Taking sips of her beverage, the singer urged attendees to drink water and stay cool before jumping into “You Stole the Show” off her recent album Visitor. Back into the slow dance ballads, Spiro’s got the audience in their feels with songs about love, loss and self-reflection.
“Maybe this time / You’ll hurt like I do / You won’t get no sympathy cause I got none from you,” Spiro’s raspy voice sang, digging into every lyric she uttered.
“This next song is the song that changed my life. (On Saturday), it’ll be one year since it came out … I love you and thank you,” Spiro said before plunging into “Die on This Hill,” the song that sparked her popularity in pop music.
Pointing the mic to the audience, fans from the barricade to those past the flags screamed along to, “I know nothing could matter / I wish something mattered to you.”
Putting heart and soul into every song, Spiro sat down in the middle of her performance due to the heat and blazing sun shining down on the stage.
“I’m gonna sit down because I feel like I’m about to faint,” Spiro said. “I’m alright, I’m just hot.”
Closing out with “Great Expectation,” the love-ballad vibe matched her ‘60s inspired outfit with trumpets and guitars backing her strong vocals. Despite the slow tempo of her songs, the energy was unmatched with songs that kept audience members swaying throughout her entire set, making for a powerful debut performance.
