NORTH CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A 39-year-old Lake Township woman will serve 30 days in the county jail on several theft-related felony charges.
Those charges are related to money taken from a couple of Hoover High School booster clubs.
Trisha Smith pleaded guilty to grand theft and misuse of credit cards; prosecutors say she made full restitution.
North Canton police had initially said that $73,000 was missing from the Lady Vikings Basketball Booster Fund and the Cheerleading Parents Association.
Both organizations are not tied to the school district.
