INDIANAPOLIS–Air Canada will launch daily nonstop flights between Indianapolis and Montreal next summer, giving Hoosier travelers another international destination from Indianapolis International Airport.
The seasonal service will run June 1 through Sept. 30, 2027, the Indianapolis Airport Authority announced Friday.
“This new route means Hoosier travelers will have nonstop reach to an important international business hub, and now access to a total of six international destinations all nonstop from IND,” Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez said.
Montreal is Canada’s second-largest city and an Air Canada hub, offering connections to destinations across Canada, Europe and Asia.
The new route is among several international destinations added at Indianapolis International Airport in the past 18 months. Others include Dublin, Ireland, through Aer Lingus; San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, through Southwest Airlines; and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, through American Airlines.
“Indianapolis is a dynamic city with a passionate sports culture, and we’re excited to connect it directly with Montréal,” Air Canada Vice President of Network Planning and Global Sales Alexandre Lefebvre said.
The Montreal service will complement Air Canada’s existing flights between Indianapolis and Toronto, giving travelers another option to connect to the airline’s international network.
The airport now offers 58 nonstop destinations overall, the most in its history, according to Indianapolis Airport Authority Director of Air Service and Airport Experience Maggie Cunningham.
“Our count of nonstop destinations overall is now at 58, the highest in IND history,” Cunningham said. “That’s the direct result of listening to Hoosier travelers, and collaborating with our airline partners to deliver on that feedback.”
